Now, it’s time to add some dynamic flair to your aerial silk routine with the hip key spin. It’s a combination of the playful grasshopper pose and some fun rotation. Begin with the grasshopper pose—hang in a graceful Arabesque with the fabric wrapped around the lower leg.
Gently push off with the free leg and initiate a slow spin. Keep the core engaged and the body tucked in tight while spinning. You can control the speed of the spin by adjusting the body position and the tension on the fabric. To exit, simply slow down the spin and gently lower back into the grasshopper pose.
