Playful Dynamics of the Teeter-Totter Splits
The Teeter-totter Splits is another fun and challenging move to help showcase flexibility and core strength. Begin with a footlock on both silks and lean back slightly, keeping your back straight. Shift your weight back, creating space between the thighs and the fabric. Grasp the fabric in front, near the thighs, and lean back into your armpits.
Extend both arms into a “T” position, keeping the shoulders down and away from the ears. Push one leg forward, extending it straight out while keeping the other bent and tucked behind. This creates the teeter-totter effect. To exit, slowly bring the extended leg back and release the arms from the “T” position.
