Power and Control in the Russian Climb
The Russian climb is a powerful and dynamic move that utilizes leg strength and coordination. Begin by standing with the fabric on the outside of one foot and the inside of the other. Pull some slack with both feet, to create a secure base.
Next, place the fabric on the inside of one knee and the outside of a foot on the same side. Use the other foot to scoop the fabric up and wrap it around the foot, creating a secure hold. Stand on this foot, and with both legs doing most of the work, lift and wrap the other leg around the fabric, driving yourself up the silks.
