A New Human Barbie Doll
Less than a year after his Mirror interview, Alves made the news once more. This time, Alves revealed she’s actually been transgender her whole life and would now prefer to be called Jessica Alves and use female pronouns. “I’m known as Ken but inside I’ve always felt like Barbie,” she explained. “I finally feel like the real me. Glamorous, beautiful and feminine.”
The following year, Alves continued making changes to herself, including an Adam’s apple removal, breast implants, and, finally, a complete sex change. To prove her dedication, Alves also deleted all pre-change photos of herself from social media. Unfortunately, things have not turned out very well for the second human Barbie.
