Justin Timberlake and Charles Burns

If it wasn’t for Charles Burns’ slightly more scraggly beard, even hardcore fans might think they were looking at a doctored photo of pop sensation, Justin Timberlake. However, in reality, the picture on the right is of Burns, a 19-year-old miner from Victorian-era Liverpool. Talk about a step up if this was Timberlake’s past life!

While Burns certainly probably had a date or two in his time, given his pop star looks, things did not turn out very well for the 19-year-old. According to records, the picture comes from a police file, after he did three months for “false pretenses.” After that, Burns seems to vanish. Maybe he found a time machine…
