Hundreds of Beautiful Fish

As you can see in the picture above, hundreds of beautiful blue and yellow fish swim around the nose and wing of a B-25 Mitchell, a twin-engined medium bomber. This is just one of the photos where Mueller managed to capture fish, algae, and coral reclaiming that manmade aircraft.

Meanwhile, the photographer views it as a way of nature honoring fallen heroes. “Seeing how it can take huge chunks of metal and grow life on that metal is pretty amazing,” Mueller later said. “World War II was the most deadly war in history, and I like to think of the marine life as decorating the graves of people who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.”
