Demetra Isn’t the Only One

Tony only became more and more disappointed in the middle school’s dress code after speaking to the parents of his daughter’s friends. Many of them felt exactly the same. “I’ve heard from multiple girls that they just want to be comfortable, but they feel like they’re being pushed into wearing leggings in 100-degree heat,” Tony said.
Through it all, one thing did not make sense to Tony: why did it matter what the boys think? “I was told by an administrator that the girls’ clothes are a distraction to the boys. That shouldn’t be a concern,” he continued. As Tony would soon explain to other parents, this showed that something was rotten at the middle school!
