Not the First Time
As frustrating and embarrassing as that fateful day had been for Demetra, it was not the first time that she found herself in trouble for her clothes. In the past, many members of the school’s staff for her outfits. Her clothes had been deemed inappropriate before, and Demetra sadly informed her father that she did not think it would be the last time, either.
“When I got dress coded one time… they said my bra strap was showing,” Demetra said in an interview with the San Jose Mercury News. “Lord forbid I might be wearing a bra.” The more the young teen told her father about the occurrences at her middle school, the more Tony knew that something was deeply wrong at Raymond J.
