Inequality At School

One of the most disturbing things that Tony heard was how differently boys and girls were treated at the school. There seemed to be an extreme double standard happening. “They don’t write you up for hats,” she explained to San Jose Mercury News. “I know one guy who wore a hat to class every day last year, and he was never written up.”
Still, while Demetra readily admits that girls receive dress code violations that others, she also says that the school seems to “pick on [her]” specifically. Soon, Tony had heard enough. He decided he needed to have another conversation with school officials.
