As most of us would, Plucas decided to contact his local animal rescue services, to see if they could rehabilitate the calf. However, the earliest they could arrive was the next morning. So, Plucas would at least need to take care of the calf for at least a night, if not longer. Now all the farmer could do was hope for the best!
Still, while he felt more than a little scared and intimidated, Plucas knew he had done the right thing by putting a roof over this helpless calf’s head. Otherwise, of course, the baby would have died in the forest or on his farm. Now, at least, she was safe from hunters or predators, whichever had but her in this terrible position…
