Rescued

Even though Plucas clearly did not mean the baby moose any harm, whatever had scared her had scared her bad. She remained wary of the farmer, trying to keep him at legs’ length with what little strength she had left. Still, knowing he needed to do something quickly if he wanted to save the baby moose, Plucas scooped up the calf in his arms and carried her into his house.

Believe it or not, after a second of struggling, the calf simply allowed Plucas to take her. With the calf safely inside his house, though, the farmer needed to figure out the next part of his plan. He hoped that calling Animal Services would clear everything up. Unfortunately, Plucas would discover that saving this baby moose would be more work than he ever imagined…
