Calling Up His Friends

Since local animal services could not arrive until the next morning, Plucas came up with a brilliant idea: he would call up his friends, tell them the story, and then perhaps ask for some help. Hopefully, they would have some advice for him. Even better, Plucas thought, some of them might even be able to head over to the house and help him take care of the animal!

However, Plucas ended up being sorry he ever picked up the phone in the first place. While he had expected them to want to help, or at least find the story funny, most of his friends chastised him for even questioning how to care for a starving baby moose!
