A Bold Decision

Realizing that raising the baby moose or handing her over to the hunters would likely result in her death, Plucas didn’t feel comfortable with either plan. After all, after working so hard to save her life, Plucas could not simply give up on the adorable calf. Despite all the work, the farmer felt determined to do whatever he could to save this vulnerable baby moose.

In the end, Plucas could only see one option: keeping the moose! So, he asked Animal Services if he could adopt her. While it was technically illegal to own wild animals, given the circumstances and his farm, Plucas felt sure that Animal Services would see it his way. Right?
