Absolutely No Help

Trying to feed a moose calf for the first time, Plucas collected leaves and grabbed some milk to see if she would like them. Thankfully, she loved them! Then, before he knew it, Plucas realized the sun was coming up! With some food, love, and a few blankets, the baby moose had managed to make it to the next morning.

Hopefully, Animal Services would arrive any minute and would take better care of the calf. However, Plucas soon realized that they would be of absolutely no help. You see, there’s no institution dedicated to wild orphan animals in Lithuania. So, Animal Services gave the farmer two options: release the animal back into the wild or call local hunters to see if they wanted it. As you might imagine, Plucas found both of these plans unsatisfactory.
