Agreeing to His Plan

To Plucas’ surprise, Animal Services was more than okay with his plan. “I insisted I should keep the baby, and they agreed,” Plucas recalled. After checking out his farmer, the authorities said he could watch after the young moose, given that he provided for it like any other pet or farm animal. Without thinking twice, Plucas agreed to welcome the baby moose into his home.

However, Animal Services made one thing very clear: from now on, Plucas was on his own. Still, the farmer felt he was capable of taking care of the baby moose. While he knew it wouldn’t be an easy task, Plucas was confident that he would make an excellent father for her.
