The Perfect Job

Between Ashcraft and Sharp, the young couple had over 50,000 combined logged hours of sailing. Still, neither had attempted such a voyage with a two-person crew, so they viewed it as a way to harden and increase their skills. Before taking off, like any good sailor, Ashcraft studied the charts and weather patterns. In no time, she had a solid 30-day sailing course for them to follow.
On paper, the course looked quite simple. However, both Ashcraft and Sharp knew it would be anything but. Even with smooth sailing, 4,000 miles is a long journey to embark on water. And, as the couple would soon learn firsthand, the ocean can change in a heartbeat.
