Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)
For those that don’t know, filmmakers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg have been friends for a very long time. So, its very common for the pair to put refrences to each others’ films in their movies. Remeber the Yoda cameo in E.T.? Well, when Lucas made The Phantom Menace, the first Star Wars prequel, in 1999, he returned the favor to Spielberg.
That’s right, Lucas added in the aliens from E.T. as an offical race on the Galactic Council in the Star Wars movie. Which means that Star Wars officially takes place in the same universe as Earth. We’re booking Star Flights now…
