Both Sides Of The Pond

While former Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding pulled just as many television viewers as Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William, more people turned up to the latter. There’s simply no arguing with numbers. Unfortunately, while 24 million Brits tuned into Kate and William’s wedding, only 18 million watched Meghan and Harry’s. It might have been at that point that the couple realized that the British Royal Family, and Britain in general, was not the place for them.

Thanks to Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah, one thing’s clear: not much has changed since the days of Princess Diana. While Markle and Harry can never hope to achieve the same fame as his mother – a simple look at the wedding viewing figures will tell you that – hopefully, they can inspire as much change. Only time will tell!
