Ja Rule and Aisha Atkins

Believe it or not, rapper Ja Rule and his wife Aisha Atkins have been together since middle school! As the artist told Ebony Magazine in 2012, “the first time I met her I was getting off the school bus, and she was the new girl in school.” After dating for more than a decade, the couple tied the knot in 2001 and now share three children together.

Over the years, the couple has needed to deal with everything from everyday struggles to media scrutiny. Meanwhile, Ja Rule and Atkins also had to spend two years apart when he went to prison for tax evasion and illegal gun possession. Fortunately, Rule was released in 2013, and the couple seems to be stronger than ever!
