LL Cool J and Simon Smith

Until recently, few knew how LL Cool J met his college sweetheart and now wife, Simon Smith. Then, in 2012, he shared it with Jimmy Kimmel on his show in 2012! As the rapper explained, he “was just 19, something like that” on Easter Sunday. Out of nowhere, his friend asked him if he wanted to meet one of his cousins. Once he got a look at Smith, LL Cool J told his friend, “Oh yeah, I’ll meet your cousin.”

That first Easter Sunday started almost a decade of dating, before, in 1995, LL Cool J and Smith finally tied the knot. Today, they have four children together and remain as happy as ever!
