Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton

Despite what you might think, Brad Pitt is not the only actor ever married to Angelina Jolie. Before him, Jolie married the one and only Billy Bob Thornton. The two met in 1999, while working on the movie Pushin Tin together. Of course, it did not take long for sparks to fly, and the pair married a year later in 2000.

In the wake of their marriage, there was only one person more surprised than fans – actress Laura Dern. As it turns, out, Thorton had still been engaged to her when he married Jolie. Whoops! Given all the drama, it likely comes as no surprise that Jolie and Thorton went their separate ways just a few years later, in 2003.
