The Informant: Nike Golf Spikes

Remember when Nike didn’t control nearly every single kind of sports item out there? Well, neither do us. It took the sports conglomerate quite some time to get into the golfing business with their Nike golf spikes. However, believe it or not, this movie takes place before that happened, during 1992.

In fact, they only began manufacturing golf spikes in 1996. In one scene of The Informant, you can see the FBI officers playing golf in Hawaii while wearing those special Nike shoes, which really didn’t make any sense!  Hey, maybe Nike sponsored the film so they had no other choice but to include them!
