Latrell Sprewell, Golden State Warriors – Poor Spending Habits
Is it surprising that NBA star Latrell Sprewell, best known for choking out his Golden State Warriors coach, PJ Carlesimo, during practice, had financial struggles? Despite a wonderful career, the 1997 incident always followed Sprewell around, even after leaving the court.
Sadly, Sprewell is also famous for another horrible decision: turning down a $21 million contract from the Timberwolves. Apparently, the NBA star thought it wasn’t enough money. Well, too bad for Sprewell, as just a year later, no team wanted him. A couple of years after that, things became so dire that Sprewell had to downsize his mansion and sell off his yacht.
