Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens – Job Loss and Legal Fees
Most readers will likely remember the fall of Ray Rice, as it happened quite recently. Once one of the most successful and famous players on the Baltimore Ravens, Rice enjoyed a career in the NFL from 2008 until 2014. In that time, he even earned a Super Bowl ring! However, it all came crashing down in 2014 when video evidence of Rice physically abusing his fiancée leaked online. In just a few days, the police arrested the former football star for the crime.
As you might imagine, the Ravens dropped Rice almost immediately. Furthermore, all his riches went to paying legal fees and the after-court penalties. While few ever expect Rice to return to the field, he technically remains a free agent.
