Even if you didn’t know O.J Simpson from his days as an all-star NFL player, you certainly know him from his two very high-profile court cases. The first, a charge that Simpson had murdered his ex-wife Nicole and her friend, Ron Goldman, cost the star a fortune. Beforehand, Simpson enjoyed a fortune of $11 million. However, after all the legal fees, he had a not guilty verdict but an empty bank account!
Afterward, a court found the former NFL star guilty for the crimes in a separate, civil suit, ordering him to pay both families nearly $40 million. Later on, Simpson was convicted for unrelated robbery charges and spent almost a decade in jail. These days, he prefers to stay away from the limelight and lives life as another broke athlete.
