As Favell and her boyfriend waited for the consultant, they could not even begin to predict what the doctor would tell them. What could have possibly made the entire ultrasound screen remain blank? One thing as very certain: Favell was not, nor had she ever been, pregnant.
Soon enough, the doctor returned with a consultant, and they looked at the ultrasound. After a short conversation, the doctors told Favell the devastating truth. While they were not exactly sure what the young woman had inside her, they had narrowed it down to two options: it was either a cyst or a cancerous tumor.
