Although he’s never played him in a film, legendary actor Tommy Lee looks quite a bit like America’s first impeached president, Andrew Johnson. Who knows? Maybe if Johnson had picked up acting after ousted from the office, he could have enjoyed a second career!

In the present, Lee has his own connections to Johnson, in his love of politics. You see, Lee was the roommate of former vice president and presidential candidate, Al Gore, while the two were in college. While Lee’s never portrayed Johnson, he has portrayed Republican Congressman Thaddeus Stevens, a contemporary of Johnson’s, in the film Lincoln.
