Without a doubt, the lack of changes did devastate Demetra and Tony Alarcon. After working so hard to try and make something happen, the school simply refused to listen to him, other parents, the community, or, most importantly, its own students.

Nevertheless, it seems like Demetra’s dad will carry on trying to fight to make sure that his daughter and her schoolmates can dress comfortably without being ashamed by the school’s officials. When everything is said and done, Tony is still convinced that these young girls should be allowed to wear denim shorts and rompers to school. “They’re just kids,” he said. Believe it or not, Tony Alarcon is far from the only one who’s battle with his daughter’s school. In fact, one father even employed spy techniques to get the low down on his child’s school!
