Enjoying the Simple Things

At the end of the day, Demetra Alarcon is just a 13-year-old girl who is still finding herself and her place in this world. She loves nothing more than the real pleasures in life; things like swimming at the beach, enjoying the soothing sounds of Pacific tides, and spending time with the people she loves the most.

So to have such a loud commotion at school surrounding her choice of clothes must have been entirely unexpected for the young girl. Despite her speed bump in her school life, Demetra Alarcon is now doing much better. Not only that, but there’s a wonderful silver lining to the trauma, she says: now she knows for sure that her family always has her back, no matter what!
