The Dorrance Family – $17.1 Billion

For those of you who may not know, John T. Dorrance invented the formula for Campbell’s famous condensed soup back in 1897. Afterward, Dorrance took the helm of the company back in the 1910s. Today, at least 11 family members still own more than fifty percent of the global food giant. Believe it or not, Campbell Soup generates over $8 billion in annual revenue.
Not only that, but it also owns brands like Prego, V8, and Pepperidge Farm. What’s more, Dorrance’s grandchildren, Mary Alice and Bennett Dorrance, as well as his great-grandson Archbold, sit on the company’s board. Hey, it’s safe to say that they will continue to have a comfortable lifestyle for the rest of their journeys!
