Dan Marino, Miami Dolphins – Bad Tech Investments

Dan Marino enjoyed a prominent career as a quarterback who played for the Miami Dolphins. During his time in the NFL, Marino broke many records, earned multiple accolades, and made a lot of cash. After he retired from the NFL, Marino tried a variety of different professions, including a live sportscaster and then a sports analyst. However, despite these lucrative jobs, Marino’s poor business decisions caused him to nearly go broke.
Back in 2012, the world watched Tupac Shakur resurrected as a hologram at the Coachella music festival. Impressed by this, Marino purchased over $1.5 million shares of the company that produces the technology. Unfortunately, Digital Domain eventually went broke, causing the NFL star to lose $14 million!
