Post-War

Rita and Harold’s love story unfolded quite dramatically, against the backdrop of World War II. This was long before emails and FaceTime, so the couple sent each other burning love letters when they could not see one another. Thankfully, the pair’s relationship triumphed and, after WWII, the two settled in Harold’s hometown of Parma, Ohio. There, the two lovebirds married less than a year after the war ended.
Just two years later, in 1947, Rita and Harold received yet another blessing: their first child, Gail. The future looked incredibly bright for the newlyweds, who felt in love as ever. Meanwhile, all along, Rita’s dark secret remained concealed, threatening to shatter her relationship with Harold and Gail.
