Fortunately, despite the mammoth task, Gail Lukasik’s efforts were not in vain. After months of rigorous research, her quest led her to a document she never expected. From their wedding certificate and her grandfather’s name, Lukasik’s arrived at the records of the 1900 Louisiana Census.
Eagerly sifting through the records, Lukasik was looking for one name in particular: Azemar Frederic, her grandfather’s name. Unfortunately, there were hundreds of Frederics on the list, and finding the right one ended up taking Lukasik hours. Finally, she found it!
