Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) – An Unexpected Bump

These days, the Star Wars films are checked over by many eyes, ensuring the fewest slip-ups and bloopers sneak through. However, back on the set of the first Star Wars film, in 1977, there were fewer opportunities to fix mistakes. After all, the late Alec Guinness was the biggest name on set. Stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher had all yet to earn their big breaks.
One of the funniest moments in the film happens quite accidentally. While running into one room, one stormtrooper goes a little too fast, slamming his head into the lower part of the door as it rises up. Ouch! However, according to director George Lucas, due to the rushed shoot, it had to stay in!
