When Crotts finally revealed her pregnancy to her family and community, they did, at first, react as she predicted: they felt devastated and betrayed. However, in a very short time, they all rallied around Crotts, who desperately needed their help. “My friends and family were both supportive and devastated,” she recalled to the Daily Mail. It was then that the pregnant teenager knew, no matter what, she could always count on her family.
