Trying to Remain Civil

Initially, Kate agreed to remain friendly with Mason, if he did the same. However, as soon as the proceedings began, Kate kept pushing Mason’s lawyers for more and more money. At first, the couple had agreed that Kate would receive a $5 million lump sum, and then they would go their separate ways. After all, $5 million would more than cover their sons’ education and a nice lifestyle for Kate.
