An Armada Of Carriages

The Duchesses might have elected for modern cars, but Princess Diana would only have the best fairy tale wedding. She needed a total of eight wedding carriages in order to have everyone arrive in style. Still, the cost was certainly worth it. Nothing can ever beat the image of Lady Diana exiting the glass coach, accompanied by her father.

Incredibly, it took a total of just over 6,000 police and military officers in order to keep back the nearly one million people who had gathered across the streets in order to witness the beautiful armada of horse-drawn carriages.
