Modern Transport for Modern Weddings

On the morning of both Markle and Middleton’s royal weddings, the streets themselves were quiet, closed since early morning. While crowds lined them, there was not a car in sight. For both royal weddings, many expected to see horse draw carriages come down the lanes, like something out of a fairy tale. However, that’s not exactly what happened!

Both brides elected for modern modes of transportation instead of carriages. Duchess Middleton arrived in a beautiful black car from the Royal Trust, accompanied by her father, Michael Middleton. Meanwhile, Markle also opted for a car, but picked a vintage Roll-Royce instead. Instead of her father, who could not attend, the former Duchess of Sussex had her mother, Doria Ragland, accompany her.
