Johnny Depp – The Bahamas, $85 Million

After landing the leading role in the in Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, it seemed rather appropriate that Johnny Depp purchased his own private island in the Caribbean. In 2004, he picked up Little Hall’s Pond Cay, a 45-acre island, for $3.6 million. However, with all his updates, the island’s now worth $85 million!

“I don’t think I’d ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats,” Depp said in an interview with Vanity Fair back in 2009. “It’s instant freedom.” Here’s a fun fact for you: Depp named two of the beaches on his island Gonzo and Brando, after his friends and mentors, Marlon Brando and Hunter S. Thompson.
