Long Island Medium – Fake
Does it surprise anyone that Long Island Medium is faked? Like all mediums, psychics, and shows about them, Long Island Medium is wholly fabricated. However, that certainly did not stop charlatan and self-proclaimed “psychic” from lying people for a full 117 episodes.
In case you are curious, almost all mediums use a technique called “cold reading” that anyone can learn after a few YouTube videos! To make matters even worse, Inside Edition revealed that Long Island Medium also often interviewed audience members before the show, giving Caputo everything she needed to know. So, it makes sense that, in 2012, the beloved James Randi Educational Foundation gave Caputo the Pigasus Award for fooling the most people.
