Ariana Richards – Jurrasic Park

Before 1993, Ariana Richards was like most child stars: waiting for her break. While she had earned parts in movies like Prancer and Tremors, her big break had yet to come. Then, Steven Spielberg cast her as Lex Murphy in Jurassic Park. Not only would the film go on to be a legendary hit, the scene in which Richards’ character and her brother try to escape a pack of hungry Velociraptors is iconic.
Today, Richards focuses not on acting, but on her new passion for art! The former child star mainly paints impressionist landscapes and portraits, and won first place in the National Professional Oil Painting Competition in 2005! Then, in 2006, she won magazine Art of the West‘s Award of Excellence.
