Sandra Oh and Alexander Payne

Many around the world know actress Sandra Oh as Dr. Cristina Yang on the hit medical drama series  Greg’s Anatomy. However, unlike many other actors, Oh does not consider herself a celebrity and does not want her public life on display. “I know many actors who don’t consider themselves celebrities and I want to publicly make that statement and that differentiation. There’s a big difference,” she said in a recent interview.

So, you would be forgiven for not knowing that Oh once married famed director Alexander Payne, the man behind hits like About Schmidt and Downsizing. Sadly, it was not meant to be. After marrying in 2003, the two split just a few years later, in 2006.
