Sometimes, celebrities separate for the same reasons as everyone else: too little time and too much work. In fact, actress Kim Cattrall flat out blames the HBO hit Sex and the City, on which she played Samantha, for the downfall of her marriage to director and producer Mark Levinson. The couple married in 1998, only to separate a few years later in 2004.

“It cost me my marriage, because I was never home,” Catrall said of Sex and the City. “I was never there and my husband got lonely and upset and competitive, and it was really difficult, it was really hard.”
