Gallipoli: A Rating Mystery
In Gallipoli, Peter Weir’s iconic war movie, a 25-year-old Mel Gibson briefly shows off, well, everything, when he strips down and goes for a swim. Believe it or not, as he dives into the water and swims around, he shows everything to the audience for a couple of seconds.
It seems like this shot must have simply slipped by everyone involved with the making of Gallipoli. After all, not only did it not end up on the cutting room floor, but the movie earned a PG rating! That ensures this particular wardrobe malfunction was not meant to end up in the film!
