More Problems at the Falls

For decades, Niagara Falls remained one of the top tourist attractions in the world. Then, in 1965, local governments started to raise concern that the site had started to lose some of its natural beauty due to all the debris and rock that had gathered at the bottom of the Falls.
Meanwhile, the rocks and debris also started to disrupt water flow at the bottom of the Falls. People feared they would lose the landmark forever if this continued. Of course, losing the Falls would also mean losing the tourism. Local authorities needed to think of something – and quick!
