A Temporary Walkway

Together with local governments, the engineering team quickly understood that they could bring tourists in to both educate them and make a few bucks along the way.
So, alongside the drained Niagara Falls, the engineers built a temporary walkway. They also made another walkway, at the top, so people could take a look at the dam. In fact, it’s the only time in the history of Falls that tourists could stand that close to the drop-off. It truly made the draining a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Despite all the walkways and tours, daredevils still managed to find a way to exploit the opportunity…
