Her Grades Started Slipping

A few more weeks and Tomas kept his eyes peeled for any clues. Unfortunately, things only became worse and worse. In addition to Aliya’s sadness, her grades started to slip, and her teacher called Tomas and his wife, letting them know that their daughter had become utterly unresponsive in class. The parents could not believe what they were hearing. For all of preschool, Aliya had been one of the most dedicated and responsive students in her class!

Now, however, it seemed that Aliya had stopped caring about the last thing she seemed to have enjoyed. Tomas and his wife had no idea what to do next. So, they decided to try talking to Aliya once again, though it had done little in the past.
