Was It Over?

Just like Tomas, almost all of the other parents from Mrs. Duncan’s class did not enjoy the local school board’s response. Why did they not want to remove this horrible creature from the classroom, especially since she was hurting children? To Tomas, this all seemed like an incredibly cruel joke on his daughter and his family.

Even though Duncan should have been nowhere near children, especially those just entering school, nothing changed. Even when Tomas contacted the school, the other teachers and administrators did not seem to care at all. Tomas wondered if the fight was over and they would have to simply live with the decision…
