Taking A Big Step

First, the enraged Tomas decided to contact all the other parents in Mrs. Duncan’s class he could and share his recording. He wanted to make sure that any other parents having problems similar to Aliya’s knew why their children were acting out. As you might imagine, many of the parents felt the same way and encouraged Tomas to contact the local school board.

However, at first, Tomas thought about talking to Duncan directly. Maybe he could talk some sense into her! However, Tomas quickly realized that would not work. At worse, she might lash out at Aliya more. So, Tomas went to the state school board and let them listen to his secret recording. The school district’s reaction was underwhelming, to say the least…
