Dick Lane, Los Angeles Rams – Poor Spending Habits

Dick Lane spent four years in the Army before he walked into the front office of the Los Angeles Rams in 1952 and asked them to give him a shot at playing professional football. Believe it or not, he actually made the team, and Dick “Night Train” Lane would go on to become of the most successful defensive backs during the 1950s and 1960s. He even made it to the Hall of Fame!
After a long-lasting career, Lane went through some difficult times. Unfortunately, he found comfort in drinking, not to mention he got involved in bar business deals and illicit drugs. As a result, Lane ended up losing the vast majority of his wealth, going completely broke!
